Q Why are the shipping and handling charges so high?
A
Amazon sets the fees. They, in turn, allocate a portion to the seller. For example, Amazon standard shipping of a book (Media Mail)  cost the customer $3.99. The seller will receive $2.81 to ship the book. This will pay the postage for a three pound book. There are other expenses for the seller besides postage. The shipping materials, paper, toner, bubble wrap, padded envelopes, boxes, tape, shipping popcorn and labels are additional expenses the seller must absorb. Here at See Us For Books, we take great pride in our packaging.

Q.
How long does it take to receive a package?
A.
Amazon standard shipping (Media Mail) can, on rare occasions, take 30 days. Most deliveries arrive in less than 10 days. Examples of extremes are a book taking eleven days to travel 200 miles or a book traveling half way across the country in 3 days using Media Mail. One advantage we have at See Us For Books is being located in the central area of the United States. The bottom line comes down to the U.S. Postal Service. Overall they do an outstanding job.

Q. Does See Us For Books do anything to help the Post Office deliver packages quicker?
A. 
Here at See Us For Books we do all we can to help the Post Office. All addresses are checked against the Post Office database to ensure the addresses are valid and to obtain the +4 for the Zip Code.

Q.  Why is it important to provide a current Email address that is checked often?
A. 
Most of the time, an Email address is the only communication link we have with a customer. For example, your address does not show up in the Post Office database.  Maybe you typed it in wrong or you live in a recently built house. We need to verify that the item is being delivered where it is meant to arrive. (The Post Office updates their database every quarter.)

Q. Why doesn't See Us For Books provide a receipt for the purchase on Amazon?
A.
  Amazon handles all the funds. You can print a receipt from "your account" on Amazon. Sellers on Amazon do not have access to customer credit card information.

Q.
I just placed an order using "1--Click ordering" and realized that the address on record at Amazon is where I used to live. Can I Email See Us For Books to change the shipping address? 
A. No. Amazon guidelines prohibit sellers from shipping to a different address than the one that is provided in the "Sold --Ship now" Email from Amazon. This is for the customer's protection. It prevents someone from using your credit card and having the item shipped to them. If you notice, when you change the shipping address, you are required to enter your password. It is a good idea to check your settings in your Amazon account if you have not ordered in some time.

Q. I just ordered a book and I need it in a hurry, but Expedited Shipping was not offered. Can I get Expedited Shipping?
A. Yes. Here at See Us For Books, we will help you with your book order needs. Large and/or heavy books can be Expedited for an additional fee. Now that the Post Office has added two larger Flat Fee boxes to their inventory, shipping most books Priority Mail will cost an additional  $5.50. This additional fee can be paid using PayPal, the largest on-line processor of credit cards. See Us For Books does not have access to your credit card information.
